Hypodermic Needles
For those who are diabetic or have other medical reasons to use a hypodermic needle, you may dispose of used needles at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home, 6131 Big Tree Rd., Livonia; the Livingston County Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, 11 Murray Hill Dr., Mt. Morris; or Noyes Memorial Hospital, 111 Clara Barton St., Dansville.
You may also drop used needles at the drug drop off box at the Sheriff’s Office in Geneseo. Simply place the used needles in a small, sealed container no larger than 2 liters and leave on top of the drop box.

Items that you SHOULD NOT leave in the drop box include: illicit drugs (give those to law enforcement), thermometers, aerosol sprays, inhalers, hydrogen peroxide, perfumes, cooking oil, soap, shampoos, conditioners, detergents and beauty supplies.
